Queens Home

Later to become the Queen Victoria Maternity Hospital (1939) and today the Womens and Childrens Hospital, the Queens Home began in 1900 with a donation of land in Rose Park and a grant of £2550 by the South Australian Company.

This is to Certify that Laura Lavinia McNeill Has received Instruction in the Special Work of Midwifery in this Maternity Home for a period of six months and after examination was found to be competent to discharge the duties of an Obstetrical Nurse
